Lindsay Moffatt | Group Sales & Marketing

Lindsay's been with GWD's since 1992 when he started in sales. He retrained in Marketing in '98 and now looks after both for the company. Lindsay says Southland and Family are two of his passions, and he lists music as an interest which he indulges by playing guitar with a bunch of mates in a band.

Peter Shaw | New Toyota Sales Manager

Peter is a family man including being a very proud Granddad. Peter has spent over 30 years in the motor industry mostly with GWD. Peter has a wealth of knowledge which he is always ready to share with everybody.

Jeremy Walker | New Toyota Sales

Jeremy started working for Toyota in the assembly factory in Christchurch before deciding in 1990 that sales would be a better use of his engaging personality. Jeremy enjoys the day to day interaction with his clients and having the opportunity to meet someone new every day.

Allan Clark | New Toyota Sales

Allan’s passions are his family & Rugby. Being a life time member with his local club Allan’s more a supporter these days. Allan has enjoyed over 20 years selling new vehicles. Over this time he has made many good friends and attributes his success to his loyal customers who continue to support him.

Malcolm Rae | Used Vehicles Sales Manager

Malcolm is a keen hunter & gatherer. Owning property in Manapouri, Malcolm can often be seen out early in the boat catching the morning breakfast. He started with GWD’s as the Parts Manager before making his way to Sales Manager. When asked what aspect he liked the most about this industry, his reply was “The people”.

Brent Parker | Used Vehicle Sales

Brent aka ‘The Butcher’, was in fact a butcher prior to working here. After owning a very successful butchery for a number of years Brent decided to embrace his love of cars by joining GWD’s. Brent has owned classic car’s and raced all the South Island tracks in a pre-65 saloon car. He also enjoys his time relaxing with the family in their holiday home in Arrowtown.

Rhys White | Used Vehicle Sales

Rhys has three strong passions, People, Cars and Music. Joining the GWD team in late 2010, Rhys is no stranger to the world of car sales having grown up in the automotive industry. After venturing out into the retail sector from school Rhys thought it was time to put all his experiences to practise and join the automotive game. When Rhys isn’t at work he can be found with his 8 piece band performing events and festivals across New Zealand or sneaking in a couple of runs up the mountain on his snowboard.

Peter Simpson | Parts Manager

Peter started in the parts industry with BMC products in late 1969. He joined the Toyota franchise in the early eighties in Timaru. Peter shifted to Invercargill in early 1984 and has been parts manager for GWD’s since 1985. In his spare time Peter enjoys tramping and fishing with his wife.

Graham Neilson | Parts Sales

Graham started with GWD’s in 1979, starting in the truck shop. Graham has spent most of that time in the parts department and enjoys sharing his experience with the team. A keen athlete Graham can often be seen running, biking and competing in triathlons.

Grant Wishart | Parts Sales

Grant enjoys working in the automotive industry, which began 30 years ago “ I love the day to day verity this job offers and dealing with the public”. In his spare time Grant enjoys entertaining people with the musical theatre, rock n’ roll dancing and spending quality time with his two teenage children.

Reece Raby | Parts Sales / Parts Rep

Reece started with GWD in 2009 after moving from Auckland where he was involved in the motor trade. Reece is into his sports and has already become a valuable new team member with the Invercargill Blues Rugby Club.

Bob Moore | Service Manager

Bob's been in the motor trade since leaving school and has worked his way through from apprentice to A Grade technician and on to service manager over the years. His spare time is spent playing golf and restoring old American muscle cars and kicking back with family and friends.

Geoff Ellenden | Head Service Advisor

Geoff has been with GWD’s since 1995. He enjoys working with a great team of technicians. One of the highlights of Geoff’s career has been mentoring our No. 1 technician, Glen Rutherford, to win the Toyota Skills Competition for NZ. During Geoff’s spare time you can find him with his family or duck shooting & trail bike riding.

Glen Rutherford | Toyota Team Leader / Toyota Master Technician

Glen has been working for GWD Toyota since 1995. Glen currently has the highest Toyota qualification attainable, which is Diagnostic Master Technician. Glenn is also a Lexus technician, of which there are only a limited number in New Zealand. Glen is passionate about the outdoors, hunting and fishing, jet boating, classic cars and hotrods. He also loves playing the guitar and farming in his spare time.

Ben Mulholland | Toyota Master Technician

Ben started with GWD’s as an apprentice. Since then he has worked hard to achieve one of the highest qualifications with Toyota, a Diagnostic Master Technician. Ben as recently won the Toyota Technicians Skills Competition. In his spare time Ben likes Fishing, tramping and renovating homes.

Essie Farrelly | Service Advisor

Essie started her career in tourism and lived in Christchurch until the recent earthquakes. Essie is enjoying being back in Southland, closer to her family and friends. Essie enjoys being part of the service team as she gets to meet new people everyday. In her spare time she is busy planning her wedding.

Jeanette Sharp | Finance Support Officer

Jeannette Sharp has worked for GWD Russells since 1995 in an administration officer / finance support role. She has represented Pistol New Zealand since 1996, shooting at national and world championship level. This sport has taken Jeannette to many countries around the world including North and South America, South Africa and Australia.

Les Findlater | Administration IT Manager

Les has been in the motor industry forever, since joining the Toyota franchise in 1976.
When he is not overseeing the administration of GWD, he enjoys playing in the Invercargill covers band Midnight Cruise, or enjoying the peaceful solitude of his Arrowtown holiday home with his family.

Lisa Jackson | Customer Relations / New Business

Having sold vehicles for 13 years, Lisa’s high standards in customer service led to the opportunity to move to Customer Relations, Credit Control & New Business. A career that was more accidental than intentional, Lisa finds the industry vibrant, ever-changing and respectful. In her spare time she’s a busy Mum, enjoys keeping fit and spending quality time with friends & family.

Sara Forde | Customer Relations Assistant

Sara is new to the industry and enjoys working for GWD. She says “the people are great and the brand is certainly something I believe in.” Sara enjoys bringing a high level of service to our customers. When she’s away from the dealership Sara enjoys travel and spending time with family& friends.

Karen Tiplady | Office Administrator / Vehicle Clerk

Karen has been with the company for two and a half years working in Toyota vehicle administration support. She worked at the AA for eight years, so has been in the motor industry for a long time. She enjoys supporting the All Blacks and the Warriors. Married to Carl, Karen has 2 children, 3 step children, twin grandsons, two dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys travelling and looks forward to doing more for the Toyota team in the future.

Maureen Gill | Toyota Receptionist / Office Administrator

Maureen has been involved in the motor industry for over 28 years. She enjoys the contact with clients and working with the friendly staff. Maureen is very passionate about the product. Outside of work, Maureen enjoys playing table tennis, social and competitive, rock n’ roll, playing cards and
spending time with family and grandchildren.
